th Ann (Judi) Blahnik

Judith (Judi) Blahnik, 75, Algoma, passed away, Tues. Oct. 3, 2017 at St. Vincent's Hospital with her loving family at her side. She was born March 22, 1942 in Algoma to Fred and Bernice (LeCloux) McCosky.Judi graduated from the Algoma High School in 1960 and then attended the Door Kewaunee County Normal School for teachers. She taught in Bailey's Harbor, Rosiere and St. Mary schools for about five years. She was a sub teacher for many years.Judi married Robert Blahnik June 26, 1965. Judi worked part time at the Sears Catalog store in Algoma and Denny's Super Valu while raising her three girls. Judi's last job was working at WS Packaging in the shipping and receiving department.Judi enjoyed playing cards, trap shooting, was an avid Packer fan and was so proud to watch all of her children and grandchildren at all the sporting events for the Algoma Wolves.She is survived by her husband Robert, three daughters Terri Prokash (special friend Mark Musial), Algoma; Liz Blahnik (special friend Joe Jacquet), Hobart; and Jenny (Barry) Schoening, Algoma; four grandchildren Beckie (Isaac) Vertz, Peyton Prokash, Maxwell and Jackson Schoening; two great grandchildren Mason and Chase Vertz; one sister Patti McCosky (special friend Jill Wachal); nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.Friends may call at St. Mary Catholic Church, Algoma, Monday, Oct. 9, 2017 from 2pm - 6 pm. Funeral Mass at 6 PM with Fr. Peter Stryker officiating.
