olet E (Vi) Hucek

Violet (Vi) Hucek, 83, Kewaunee, died Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Ministry Door County Hospital. She was born Dec. 9, 1931 in Manitowoc to Walter and Wilma (Senkbil) Drumm. When Vi was eight years old the family moved to the Denmark area and then to Stangleville. When Vi was older she moved to Algoma where she was the janitor for St. Mary Parish and school. She lived in Algoma until 1997, then moved to East Krok. She baby-sat for the Marge Stangle family and Mary Ann Kratz. She did work for Badger Northland for a period of time.Vi is survived by two sisters Dorothy Tracy, Manitowoc; and Shirley Miller, Mishicot; special niece Diane (Rick) Robison; other nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and her closest friend Diane Brezinski, Kewaunee; She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Walter and two sisters Elsie Pigeon and Ruth Branch.Family and friends may gather at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Krok from 9 am, Thursday, July 16, 2015 until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am with Rev. Dennis Drury officiating. Burial at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Algoma.
