Scott Edward Meverden

Scott Edward Meverden, 61, Algoma, passed away Saturday June 25, 2022 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, after a courageous battle with throat and tongue cancer.  He was born November 28, 1960 in Algoma to the late Kenneth J. (KJ) and Mary Lee (Robinson) Meverden.
Scott graduated from the Algoma High School.  Two years later he entered the US Marine Corp and served from 1982 - 1986.  After his discharge he returned to Algoma where he worked at the Algoma Hardwoods for a short time, then he worked at American Foods in Green Bay up until the time of his illness.  
Scott enjoyed the company of family and friends at home, walking with his dogs and baby sitting his nieces and nephews.  
Scott is survived by his five siblings Jack, Steve, Mike (Kathy), Trudee and Marlee (Nick); special Aunt Bonnie and special cousin Chip; nieces and nephews Kris (Lizzy), Steph (Jamie), Lydia (Arron), Dylan, Alex, Elliot (Tattianna), Scotty (Nicole), Jenny (Eddie) and "niece" Dawn; Great nieces and nephews Emma, Vivika, Jack, Sawyer, Keegan, Karson, Kaeson, Kodee, Cali, Lucas and Millie.
He was preceded in death by his parents KJ and Mary Lee, infant brother Robbie and sister Laura.
There will be a public visitation for Scott, Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma, from 3 PM  until time of services at 6 PM with Deacon Mark Hibbs officiating.  Burial will be Thursday, June 30, 2022 at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Algoma at 10 AM.
