Rose A. Murray, 90, went to meet her Lord on October 30, 2024.
She was born September 7, 1934, to immigrant parents, John and Natalia Hanin, in Milwaukee, WI. Rose met her husband, Lawrence Murray, at a family wedding when she was a young teen. She later became his bride and had 61 years together before he passed on.
She was a wonderful mother of 3 children, grandmother to 7, and great-grandmother to 5. Rose worked numerous jobs and retired as a Clerk for Milwaukee County before retiring to Door County. Rose was a fabulous cook and would throw great parties with their many friends and family. She supported her husband with his career and would attend conventions with all the retired Sergeant Major's from the WIARNG. She was her kids and grandkids biggest fan ringing the cowbell at sports games and cheering the teams on. She was very involved in her church since little on. She also was her church secretary when her children were young. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Algoma, and was very active in Ladies Aide.
She will be greatly missed by her son, Daniel (Donna) Murray, daughter, Lorianne (Raymond) Shanle, grandchildren Raymond (Nicole) Shanle, Courtney (Tyler) Savignac, Natasha (Luke) Lansbach, Tyler (Katharine) Shanle, Chelsea (Brad) Faust, Caleb (Rachel) Shanle, and Antonia Shanle, great-grandchildren Chloe, Charlotte, Jack, Rowan, and Sullivan, her sisters Anna Jakubovich, Linda Hanin, brother-in-law Gerald Murray, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, daughter, Suzanne, her parents and in-laws, brothers and sisters-in-law. Burial at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery will take place November 1, 2024.
