Rodger Elland Forkert

Rodger Elland Forkert, age 71, of Ellison Bay, passed away peacefully on December 30th, 2023, at Algoma Waterfall Health Nursing Home.  He was born on July 15th, 1952, in Vermillion, Ohio to Nancy Anne Forkert (Barr) and Franklyn R Forkert. He is survived by his longtime friend Nanette Champeau, his father Franklyn and siblings Gordon, Russell and Julie (Koblin). Rodger was a 1970 graduate of Deerfield High (IL) and a 1974 graduate of Principia College (IL) and maintained many lifelong relationships from those years. An accomplished carpenter and sailor, shall he be forever blessed with Fair Winds and Calm Seas.
