Roberta "Bobbi" Jo Wierichs

Roberta "Bobbi" Wierichs, 76, Algoma, passed away Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center after a short illness. She was born September 18, 1944 in Rhinelander to the late Calvin and Dorothy (Pollock) Barber. Bobbi graduated from the Silver Creek Grade School and the Algoma High School. Bobbi married Don Wierichs in Algoma on July 8, 1972. Bobbi was awarded the Woman of the Year and was involved in the Governors Community for physical disabilities, Community Options Program, Families of Distinction, Adult Family Home and Foster Home for Oneida Nation. Bobbi was appreciative for the kindness of her classmates for picking up her books and assisting her back to her feet. Bobbi would really like everyone to celebrate her life and remember happy memories. She is survived by her husband, her seven children Tonya Laurent, John (Dioni) Wierichs, Isreal Wierichs, Cheyanne Wierichs, Takota Wierichs, Donald Wierichs and Garrett Wierichs; grandchildren Maria Shrock, Sabastian (Rebbecca) Wierichs Laurent, Mason Laurent, Bobbi Joe Laurent, Anagha Laurent, Deringer Engleking, Maverick Wierichs and Oaklee Engleking; great grandchildren Phoebe and Philippa Schrock. She was also a "mother" to all the foster children that her and Don raised. She was also survived by her service dog Morello Thomas. She was preceded in death by her sons Joseph and Guy Willems, sister Gale Alexander and her parents. Do to Covid the family will not be having any service for Bobbi.
