Rita Paul Obituary

Rita M. Paul, 86, Algoma, passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 at Bellin Hospital. She was born May 6, 1930 in Green Bay to Nelson and Mary (Gillis) LeCaptain. Rita attended the He-Nis-Ra Grade School in the Town of Hobart then she attended Franklin Junior High and West High School in Green Bay. In January 1948 the family moved to Kewaunee so Rita finished her last semester of schooling in Kewaunee and graduated June 1948.Rita worked at Leyse Aluminum in the office and Hansen Glove Factory before her marriage to Norman Paul, June 10, 1950 at Holy Rosary Church in Kewaunee. The couple were blessed with five children. While raising her children and helping her husband on the farm, she worked part time at Miller, Pies and Blazkovec law firm. She then did bookkeeping out of her home and later also worked at H & R Block for five years, before purchasing the franchise which she owned for 15 years. After selling the franchise she continued doing bookkeeping out of her home.She was a member of St. Mary Church, Algoma since her marriage, member of the Algoma Golden Age Club, Maple-Forest Seniors, Algoma Ladies Golf League, Idlewild Golf League, Tuesday Ladies Bowling League and the Kewaunee Golden Age Club.Rita enjoyed playing cards with friends, bowling, golfing and sewing, especially making patchwork quilts and embroidery.Rita is survived by her husband Norman, two daughters Jeanette (Richard) Entringer, Kokomo, IN; Marian Paul, Madison, WI; three sons, Richard (Blanche) Paul, Sheboygan, WI; Kenneth (Barbara) Paul, Fort Collins, CO; and Daniel (Sue) Paul, Janesville, WI; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren; one sister Althea (Louie) Bogart, Mountain, WI; four brothers Donald (Dorothy) LeCaptain, Kewaunee, WI; Robert (Bernice) LeCaptain, Maribel, WI; Alan LeCaptain, Manitowoc, WI; and Carlton (Jelain), Algoma, WI; sister-in-law Sally LeCaptain, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Eugene LeCaptain.Family and friends may call at the SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma, from 5 - 8 PM, Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017 and after 10 AM Thurs. at St. Mary Catholic Church until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM with Rev.
