Percy W. Bourbanis, 95, Algoma, passed away at Bellin Hospital, Saturday, December 30, 2023. He was born April 21, 1928, in Olga, North Dakota to Joseph and Rose (Carrier) Bourbanis.
Percy entered the United States Army and served from 1948 to 1950. He was a boxer when he was in the Army.
He married the love of his life, Rose Marie Petroski, April 20, 1955, in North Dakota.
The couple moved to Algoma in 1968, for Percy's job. He was an Iron Worker and was working at Bayship, then he worked on road crews building bridges on I-43, and on the new bridge in Sturgeon Bay, plus many other iron workers projects.
Percy was an avid golfer until the age of 80, shot pool and loved to hunting and fishing.
He was a very devoted husband taking care of his wife, Rose Marie.
He was a member of the Algoma Amvets.
Percy is survived by his wife, Rose Marie, of 68 years, one sister Doris Dearinger, Walhalla, ND; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings
Visitation for Percy will be held, Friday, Jan. 5th, at the Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma, from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM with Rev. John Moll officiating, Entombment at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Autumn's Journey in Percy's memory.
