Norma Blahnik Obituary

Norma Jean Blahnik passed away on January 16, 2015 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Green Bay. Previous to this she made her home at the Kewaunee Care Center. Norma was the daughter of Albert and Mary (Wiese) Buege and was born in Forestville. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Algoma, where she was a lifelong member. She lived almost her entire life in Kewaunee County except for time away at school.Norma Jean married Ted G. Blahnik and together the couple owned and operated Carnival Guernsey Dairy for more than 40 years, and in which Norma was an active partner. The company earned a fine reputation for quality dairy products and had the distinction of operating the only Grade 'A' milk processing plant and dairy business that Kewaunee County had.Throughout their business career the Blahniks supported many social and civic endeavors; the most popular of which was the annual, free matinees for children on the afternoon of December 24, at the Majestic Theater in Algoma. They also were proud supporters of the athletic events at the Algoma High School, musical concerts and Youth Club Activities.Norma is survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her wonderful parents, loving husband Ted, five brothers; Leo Buege, Marvin Buege, Ray Buege, Alvin Buege and Verne Buege; two sisters, Esther Buege and Della Hutter, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.Family and friends may call at ST. PAUL'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, Algoma from 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan 20th until the time of services at 2:00 p.m. with Rev, John Moll officiating.
