Nettie Jirtle

Nettie Marie Beyer Jirtle, 86, died in Arlington Heights, IL Feb. 5, 2012. Nettie was born Jan. 7, 1926 in Gleason, WI. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Vernon Roger Jirtle of Algoma, WI; and is survived by children Randy Jirtle and Deborah Jirtle Contreras, four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters and two brothers. Nettie worked for many years as a beautician and enjoyed a variety of interests including dancing the polka, planting flowers, researching family history, and making gifts for loved ones by sewing, embroidering, quilting and her favorite-- crocheting. Nettie's life reflected her Christian faith and the values she acquired growing up on a family farm. Family and friends will honor her life in a memorial service in Algoma, WI on May 19, 2012 at Algoma Methodist Church at 11:30 a.m. Memorial gifts may be made to Algoma Methodist Church or to a charity of choice.
