Mildred R. Neuzil, age 93 of Algoma passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on September 25, 1921 in the Town of Luxemburg to Henry and Alvina (Zahn) Mueller. She was baptized into the Lutheran Faith on October 16, 1921 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Luxemburg. She was confirmed on July 8, 1934 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Luxemburg. She attended U.S. Grant Graded School where she completed the eighth grade. She then stayed at home helping on the family farm. Later, she moved to the Green Bay Area to become a housekeeper for a family.At a dance, which she attended with her siblings, she met Harvey Neuzil. After a period of dating, on January 21, 1942 they were united in marriage at St. John's Lutheran Church in Luxemburg with the Rev. Pautz officiating. After their marriage, they lived in Algoma for a period of time.On March 7, 1946 they purchased a farm in the Town of Pierce, where she made her home for the remainder of her life.Mildred was a hard-working farmers' wife; making meals for all the helpers during stone picking, hay making and harvesting grain and corn. Also, when they added an addition to the barn. She was also prepared to help anyone in need. She was very proud and took great pride in her vegetable and flower gardens.After her marriage to Harvey, she became a new communicant member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Rankin. She became an active member of St. John's Ladies Aid, where she helped prepare meals, sewed many quilts for Lutheran World Relief and volunteered at Bethesda Thrift Store in Green Bay. She was a member of the Brookside Homemakers Club for 30 years as well as the County Homemakers Organization. She enjoyed playing cards with various card groups.Her family meant everything to her. She became a mother to 3 children, a grandmother to 8 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 15 great-grandchildren.She is survived by her three children: Norma Teske, Green Bay; Roger (Linda) Neuzil, Algoma;Linda (Mark) Teske, Algoma. Grandchildren: Wayne (Lori) Teske, Green Bay; Lee Teske, Green Bay; Glenn (Amy) Teske, Virginia; Sheila (Mark Butzow), Janesville; Karla Neuzil, Green Bay; Paula (Darren Hickman), Arizona; Maurice (Nicole) Neuzil, Algoma; Katie Teske (Algoma).Great-grandchildren: Shaunae and Breanna Teske, Timothy, Joshua, Taylor and Hunter Teske, Annika and Alexa Butzow, Mitchell, Ethan, Seth LeGreve, Kennedy Hickman, Hailee, Sikoya, Mavric Neuzil. She is further survived by: Sisters-in-law Sylvia Mueller, Lorraine Neuzil and LaVerne Berg; Godchildren, nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.Preceding her in death: Her husband, Harvey, her parents, her parents-in law (Frank and Emma Neuzil), sons-in-law Edward Teske and Mark Hafeman. Brothers: Clarence (Viola) Mueller, Harold Mueller, Henry (Lavern) Mueller, Harvey (LaVerne) Mueller and Sister Elsie Fahs.Brothers and Sisters-in-law: Harold (Helen) Neuzil, Mildred (Marvin Borchardt), Gladys (Ralph) Schneider, Roy Neuzil.Friends and family are invited to gather at the SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME IN ALGOMA on Thursday, August 20 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday, August 21 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Rankin from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM with the Dr. Rev. Christopher Jackson officiating. Burial will take place at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.The family would like to extend their thankfulness and gratitude to Pastor Jackson for his visits and Unity Hospice, especially: Kate, Patti, Chris, Heather, Stacy, Jackie, Wendy, Jamie, Mo, Lori.
