Mary Jane Ebert, 88, Algoma, passed away peacefully June 20, 2014, at the Kewaunee Care Center. Mary Jane was born June 16, 1926 in Algoma to Joseph and Lucy (Piette) Coppersmith.Mary Jane married Harley Ebert on December 25, 1942. Mary Jane was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Rosary Society. She enjoyed spending time with her entire family, working in her flower garden, traveling, and spending time with her birthday club friends.Mary Jane is survived by her son Harold (Butch) (Janet) Ebert, Algoma; two grandchildren Tammy (Dave) Tlachac, Luxemburg; and John (Paula) Ebert, Algoma; five great grandchildren Jordan and Grace Tlachac, Cullen Bernetzke, Amelia and Brody Ebert and one sister-in-law Caroline Schumacher. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harley on September 16, 1995 and one brother Francis (Bud) Coppersmith.Family and friends may gather at St. Mary Catholic Church, Algoma, Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 9 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am with Rev. Bill Swichtenberg officiating. Entombment at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum following the meal at church.The family wishes to thank the Kewaunee Care Center and staff and Unity Hospice for all the care and kindness given to Mary Jane during her stay.The SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma, assisted the family with arrangements.
