Marvel Junion Obituary

     Marvel Adeline Junion, 84, Algoma, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022, at her home. 

     She was born Jan.31, 1938 in Valmy, WI to Melvin and Lucille (Schlities) Wilke.

     Marvel married William Dale Junion on May 17, 1958, at St. Mary Church, Algoma.
Marvel was a care giver for many years with the Lakeshore Home Services Program, she also worked at the Algoma Net Company for 17 years. She was a charter member of the Snow-Riders Club, a member of the Grace Lutheran Quilters and was a volunteer at Camp Bird for 30 years. Marvel loved to sew, make quilts and share them with all of her craft sales on the main street of Algoma. 

     Marvel is survived by her five children, Lisa Junion (John Sherman), Hancock, WI, Bill Junion, Green Bay, Kim Junion (Kevin Koskie), Suamico, Toni Johnson, Alaska Lake, WI,  and Margaret (Peggy) (Kevin) Zellner, Algoma; seven grandchildren Emily (Mike) Federer, Alison (Mark) Anzaldua, Clayton Shaw, Madeline Junion-Sherman, Michael Junion, Justin Zellner and Jared Zellner (special friend Elise Truot),  six great grandchildren Carl Emanuel, Cosmo and Moon Federer, Charlotte, Christian and Calvin Anzaldua; two sisters Lois (John) Holland and Rosemary (Robert) Holland, one brother Richard (Bonnie) Wilke; sister-in-law Carol Wilke and brother-in-law Jerry Srnka. 

     She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Dale, two brothers and sister-in-law Roger (Thea) Wilke and Lynn Wilke, three sisters and brother-in-law Ruby Anne (Alvin) Paul, Judy Srnka and infant Susan and brother-in-law Gene Schley.

     Family and friends may gather at Grace Lutheran Church on Highway 42 between Algoma and Kewaunee on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022, from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mark Kinney officiating. Burial in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Algoma.
