Marion Matilda (Schallie) Leischow

     Marion M. Leischow, 90, passed away, November 7, 2022, at Kewaunee Health Services.  She was born January 30, 1932, in Kewaunee County to Elmer and Lottie (Noel) Schallie.
She married Gerhart Argene Leischow in 1952.  They were married for 33 years before Argene passed away in 1985.

     Marion loved playing bingo, watching the Packers, canning and baking homemade pies, especially her apple pie.  She enjoyed transporting clients to appointments for Kewaunee County, liked going down by the water and watching the boats come in and out of the channel, watching the fisherman on the pier and listening to country music.

     Marion will be missed by her three children, Linda Kleindl, Art (Maxine) Leischow and Kathy Leischow; her beloved grandson Branden Leischow (fiance'e Jordan) and her son Liam; three sisters Bernadine (Robert) Orde, Beverly Blahnik and Betty Davis; many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Derek Leischow, sons-in-law Brock Kleindl and Clarence Laskowski, sister Arbutius Paape, brother Arthur Schallie, stepdad Edward Lex and other family members.

     Family and friends may gather at the Algoma United Methodist Church, Friday, November 18, 2022, from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jennifer Emert officiating.  Burial to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Algoma, next to her husband.

     The family would like to give a special thank you to the Kewaunee Health Service staff and Unity Hospice for the kindness and care given to our mother and grandmother.  The family also wants to thank Laurie Schinderle for all her kindness.
