Marion C Haegele

Marion C. Haegele, age 85, passed away on March 20, 2014 at Unity Hospice's Jack and Engrid Meng Residence. The former Marion Gigot was born on January 3, 1929 in Gardner-Door County to the late Ben and Isabell Gigot. She married Harold Haegele on September 11, 1948 in Kolberg, WI. Harold preceded her in death on April 27, 2000. Marion was retired and enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. Marion is survived by her children Mallory (Ralph) Gartzke, Algoma, WI; Larry Haegele, Green Bay, WI; and Jack (Sue) Haegele, Luxemburg, WI; her grandchildren Scott (Michelle) Gartzke, Luxemburg, WI; Jessica (Craig) Schwerin, Wausau, WI ; and Steve (Kim Saufl, special friend), Minneapolis, MN; and her great-grandchildren Paige and Evan Gartzke and Alexis Kelbert; and Grace and Sophia Schwerin. Marion is also survived by her brother, Wayne Gigot, Brussels, WI; sisters-in-law Dorathy Christianson, Sturgeon Bay, WI and Barb Haegele, Algoma, WI along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law Joanne Gigot, brothers-in law Donald Haegele, William Haegele, Jr. and John Christianson. Visitation for family and friends will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Algoma Monday, March 24, 2014 from 9 am until the time of services at 11 am with Rev, John Moll officiating.Marion's family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to Unity Hospice for the care and support they gave to Marion and her family during this difficult time.
