Margaret Wodsedalek Obituary

Margaret "Marge/Peppy" (nee Kirchman) Wodsedalek,85, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Froedtert Hospital in West Bend, WI.  Marge was born on April 25, 1940 to Louis and Wanda (Duerst) Kirchman, in Algoma, WI. She grew up in the area and ultimately graduated from Algoma High School.
Marge worked in the nursing field for 35 years, dedicating her life to helping and caring for others, yet still making time for her family and all their activities. She treasured the bonds that were formed and the lasting friendships she made while working with her peers at Algoma Memorial Hospital- Algoma, St. Joseph's Community Hospital- West Bend, Samaritan Home- West Bend, and Kewaunee Care Center- Kewaunee. Margaret retired in 2010, at the age of 70. It was her "candy striper" duties at Algoma, that would eventually bring her the love of her life. On March 10, 1962, Marge was united in marriage to Wayne Wodsedalek.
Margaret is survived by her 7 children: Darrell (Mariellen) Wodsedalek, Dale (Linda) Wodsedalek, Darain (fiancé Gina Mattson) Wodsedalek, Marla (Gary Muhasky) Frye, Dallas (Tracy) Wodsedalek, Marlene Alexander, and Monica (Joseph) Zaleski. 12 grandchildren; Katie (Peters) Carlson, Thomas, and Jennifer Wodsedalek, Deric, Dylan (Hannah), and Dawson Wodsedalek, Jeffrey "J.T" Frye, Brooke (Joshua) Segerstrom and Beth (Aric) Van Ess, Tyler (fiancé- Amber) Cody, and Haley (Sean Sheil) Alexander. 19 Great Grandchildren. She is further survived by 1 sister; Isabelle Buhr, and 5 sisters-in-law; Maureen Ackerman, Sherri (David) Osterloth, Sharlene Michener, Jean Dell, and Dawn Wodsedalek, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Wayne of 62 years. As well as her parents, her mother-in-law Helen Simon and father-in-law Milton (Eva) Wodsedalek, 4 brothers; Allen, Harold "Red," Louis Jr., and Gerald Kirchman, 2 sisters; Wanda (Duerst) Corrie and Joyce (Kirchman) Grasley, and 1 daughter-in-law; Caroline (Peters) Wodsedalek.
When not cheering on her children or grandchildren, or her loyalty to the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers, and Wisconsin Badgers, Marge could be found in her garden. She loved canning veggies and making jams. In her spare time, she would play golf, take motorcycle rides with Wayne, and play cards. Some of her favorites were UNO, Five hundred rummy, Michigan rummy, and Sheepshead. Playing Scrabble was also at the top of her list of faves. She thoroughly enjoyed giving her time to serving the Ladies Aid Committee at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kewaunee, WI.
A special "Thank You" to the staff at Ivy Manor Assisted Living- West Bend, the 3rd Floor care team at Froedtert Hospital West Bend, and Horizon Hospice for all their care and compassion given to Margaret and her family.
