Margaret Linnea Heinkel December 6, 1911 - August 31, 2013 Margaret 'Marge' Heinkel was born to Ove and Hulda Weberg during a winter snowstorm in rural Dorr County, Michigan. And so began her long, adventurous, fun-filled, and much blest life. Marge married Floyd Van Anrooy on May 16, 1936. They had four children and lived in Wilmette, IL. Her life was filled with wonderful friendships, hiking, camping, scouting, church activities and employment experiences. Twenty-five years after the death of her first husband, she married a longtime family friend, Harold Heinkel, on June 17, 1982. Marge moved to Algoma where she fully embraced her new life, neighbors, and community. Marge enjoyed volunteering with the Door County Garden Club, Friends of the Library, and Algoma Sweater Makers. Her many activities included singing with the church choir, biking, golfing at Alaskan Golf Club, and strolling Algoma's Boardwalk which inspired so many of her paintings. Marge's card-playing skills were displayed with her friends in the Bridge Club and the Hand & Foot Card Group. She loved a good challenge and was known to beat her grandchildren at badminton when she was well into her nineties. She continued to enjoy dancing with her son-in-law up to and including his last visit this past April. Marge found joy in time spent with son David (Pat) Van Anrooy, daughters Joanne (David) Foster and Carol (Michael) Howard, Harold's sons Peter (Jean) Heinkel, Harold Heinkel, David Heinkel, Tom (Georgia) Heinkel, eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren along with her dearest friends, Elaine, Marjorie, Helen, Irene, Mae, Cass, Rita and Bob. She was predeceased by her parents Ove and Hulda Weberg, her brother Fred Weberg, both husbands Floyd Van Anrooy and Harold Heinkel, and one son, Robert James Van Anrooy. Marge's zest for life, shared with others through her paintings, volunteer work, love for family and friends, and her love of the Lord, will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
