Kenneth "Ken" Haack, 88, Algoma, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Sycamore Lodge. He was born May 18, 1936, in Rio Creek to the late Arthur and Myrtle (Bank) Haack.
Ken was a graduate of Algoma High School. After high school Ken married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Bathke, on January 29, 1955, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Algoma.
Ken worked at the US Plywood, Jag Outdoor Signs, the Algoma Utilities and then he was at the Algoma Memorial Hospital as a maintenance worker for 33 years.
He enjoyed his time with family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who asked him. He loved his sports, hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, square dancing, traveling and doing little projects out in his shop.
Ken is survived by his wife Shirley, daughter Kim (Dennis) Zima, sons Tom Haack and Pete (Vonnie) Haack, son-in-law David Fulwiler; grandchildren Casey, Nicole, Adam and Alex Zima, Allison, Alexa and Jesse Fulwiler, Justin Haack and Karen Kudick, Carmen Vandenplas, Mikayla and Spencer Haack; six great grandchildren; sister Nancy (David) Kuchinski and brother John (Gail) Haack.
Ken was preceded in death by his daughter Kay Fulwiler, brother James Haack and sister and brother-in-law Mary (Tom) Stangel.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 9:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM with Father Timothy Machila officiating.
Burial in the Evergreen Cemetery following the Mass.
