Julie Serrahn Obituary

Julie A. Serrahn, 101, Algoma, passed away January 13, 2019 at Autumns Journey. She was born June 19, 1917 in Two Rivers to Andrew and Francis (Zwicki) Wichlacz. Julie married Karl Serrhan January 11, 1941 in Iowa. She worked as a baker and salesperson at Wautlet's Bakery in Algoma for over 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, reading and traveling with her husband Karl who was an over the road truck driver. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid and the American Legion Auxillary. Julie is survived by her two daughters Sandy (Gerald) Mueller, Sheboygan; Karen Wolter, Green Bay; daughter-in-law Patty Serrahn, Green Bay; grandchildren and great grandchildren, one brother Andy Wichlacz, Two Rivers; two sisters Angie Lodl, Two Rivers and Dorothy (Robert) Trost, Charlevoix, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Karl, son John, brothers George, Edward and Joe and sisters Florence and Hattie. Family and friends may gather at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Algoma, Friday January 18, 2019 from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM with Rev. Joel McKenney officiating. Burial in the Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. The family wants to give a special thank you to Autumns Journey and Unity Hospice for all the care and kindness given to our mom over the years.
