Julia Laverenz Obituary

Julia H. Laverenz entered eternal life June 5, 2015. She was born November 3, 1917 in Krok, WI (Montpelier Township) to Anna (Herold) and Frank Hlinak. She lived on the family farm in Alaska, WI. Julia graduated from Alaska Grade School. On November 15, 1941 Julia married Adolph Laverenz and they raised their family in Algoma. Upon retirement, they moved to Green Bay, WI. Julia was a member of St. Mary's Rosary Society, a girl scout leader, she was involved in the Charismatic Movement and very active in church services at Vernon Court in Green Bay, WI where she resided for many years.Julia moved to Silver Leaf Manor in Kewaunee, WI in 2008. A special thanks to Mom's extended family at Silver Leaf Manor who cared for her and who make their house a home. In addition, a heartfelt thanks to all at the Kewaunee Care Center for helping Mom through her final days.Julia is survived by her children: Beverly (Pat) Scanlan of Mesa, AZ; Mary Laverenz of Englewood, CO; Christine (Lee) Loberg of Manitowoc, WI; Robert Laverenz of Berlin, WI; Elaine Laverenz of Muskego, WI; sisters; Alice Cmeyla of Chicago, IL; Leona Lukes of Kewaunee, WI; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; cousins; nieces and nephews.Preceding her in death were her parents, an infant brother, husband Adolph, son Mark, sister Helen Blahnik and brothers-in-law.Family and friends may call at St. Mary Catholic Church, Algoma from 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2015 until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ron Colombo and Deacon Chuck Agnew officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.The Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma, assisted the family with arrangements.Family and friends may sign the online guest book at www.schinderle.com
