Jon M. Ross

Jon M. Ross, 65, Algoma, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013 at the Golden Living Center - Dorchester in Sturgeon Bay. He was born November 14, 1947 in Elgin, IL to Elmer and Edna (Phelps) Ross. Jon entered the US Marine Corp on November 16, 1967 and served in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged April 24, 1970. Jon married Mary Feuerstein May 17, 1980 at St. Mary Church in Algoma. At the time he was still working in Illinois. He permanently moved to Algoma in 1985, where he worked at WS Packaging and his last job was at N.E.W. Plastics in Luxemburg. Do to his health he had to retire from N.E.W. Plastics in 2006. Jon enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren, fishing and working with wood. Jon is survived by his wife Mary, one daughter Lisa (Curt) Stewart and a son Mike Ross all of Algoma; two grandchildren Mackenzie and Parker Stewart; one sister Bonnie (John) Keegan, IL; three brothers Terry (Mary) Ross, Green Bay; Bryan (Bev) Ross, North Carolina and Gregg Ross, Chicago; mother-in-law Marie Feuerstein, Algoma; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Jim (Kathy) Feuerstein, Merrill, WI; Carol Kittell, DePere; Jane Feuerstein, Algoma; Larry Feuerstein, Algoma; Lee (Kathie) Feuerstein, Green Bay; Ann Feuerstein, Green Bay; Linda (Patrick) Schley, Sturgeon Bay; and Dawn (Randy) Neubauer, Two Rivers; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, an infant brother and father-in-law Leonard Feuerstein. Family and friends may gather at the SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma from 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 until the time of services at 7 p.m. with Pastoral Minister Kathy Zeman officiating.
