Jean "Jeanne" C. (Wautlet) Albrecht

     Jean C. Albrecht (Jeanne), 93, Algoma, passed away December 31, 2023 at St. Vincent's Hospital with her family at her side.  She was born August 2, 1930 in Algoma to Gilbert and Irene (Kaye) Wautlet.

     Jeanne graduated from the Algoma High School in 1948.  Jeanne attended the school of cosmetology in Green Bay where she got her license as a beautician.  She worked at the Flora Lee Beauty Shop for Wilmer Drab for many years.

     Jeanne married Arnold Albrecht April 21, 1951, in Algoma.

     Jeanne enjoyed the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, golfing, playing Sheepshead and taking Casino Bus Trips.

     She is survived by her three children Russ (Theresa) Albrecht, Nancy (Dave) Varga and Peggy (Scott) Charles; grandchildren Abby (Steve) Benzschawel, Cassie (Ryan) Schoblocher, Jessica (Jon) Reinhardt, Kristine and Joseph Albrecht and Andrew and Jack Charles; nine great grandchildren, Aunt Marion Wautlet, nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arnie, great grandson Zander, sister Judy Wautlet, brother Donald Wautlet and many aunts and uncles.

     Visitation for Jeanne will be, Friday, January 5, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic Church from 9:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM with Father Andrew Kurz officiating.  Entombment at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.

     In lieu of flower, donations may be made to Autumn's Journey in memory of Jeanne.

     The family wants to give a special thank you to Jennie and her staff at Autumn's Journey for all the kindness and care given to Jeanne and her family and to Laurie Schinderle for her caring and compassion given to Jeanne and her family.
