Janice Marie Marto

Janice M Marto, 72, Algoma, passed away peacefully, Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015 at the Algoma Long Term Care Unit after a courageous eight month battle with Leukemia. She was born July 11, 1942 in Green Bay to Stanley and Evelyn (Haselow) Dziengeleski. Janice graduated from West High School in Green Bay. She worked one year for Wisconsin Public service before her marriage to Ron Marto on Sept 22, 1962 at St. Joseph's Parish in Green Bay.Janice was a stay at home mom to raise her three children. Janice was an avid quilter and was a member of the Patch of Lakeshore Quilters in Manitowoc. Janice was the first of three generations of quilters with her daughter and granddaughter following in her footsteps. She also loved her time with her family and being in her garden. She enjoyed her Wednesday afternoon bowling at the Algoma Pizza Bowl.Janice is survived by her husband Ron, three children Sheila (Greg) Ronk, Maribel; Jo Ellen (Kim) Van Den Elzen, Menasha; and Nicholas (Melissa) Marto, Ledgeview; four grandchildren Karianne and Theodore Ronk and Elizabeth and Rebecca Van Den Elzen; one sister Nancy Evenstad, Green Bay; a niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister JoAnn Powers.Family and friends may call at the SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma from 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19th until the time of services at 7 p.m. with Rev.
