Harriet Marie Mauer fell asleep in Christ peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the age of 101. She was born May 26, 1912 in Kewaunee, WI. to the late Bohmuil and Emma Pavlat. On June 17, 1936 she married Arwin Mauer in Kewaunee, WI. He proceeded her in death July 7, 1967. Harriet was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church and Women of St. Paul's. She enjoyed playing cards, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, as well as her family and friends. She is survived by one daughter, Edith Stiehl; one son, Edward (Janice) Mauer; four grand children: Mark (Tracy) Pfuehler and their children Garrick and Kiersten; Edith (Jon) TerWisscha and their children Daniel, Ethan and Breanna; Michelle (John) Wilson and their children Chloe and Gabrielle; Jennifer (David) Pocs and their children Elena, Sofie, Larsen; one sister in law Mable Waterstreet; nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by two brothers and one sister. Friends may call at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Algoma, Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013 from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM with Rev. Tom Moldenhauer officiating. Burial to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Algoma. In lieu of flowers, memorials to may be made in memory of Harriet to: St. Paul's Lutheran Church 406 Fourth St Algoma, WI. 54201 A very special thank you to Unity Hospice.
