Harold Martin Obituary

Harold J. (Dixie) Martin, 82, Algoma, died Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Bornemann Nursing Home, Green Bay. He was born May 13, 1929 in the Town of Red River to the late Martin and Irene (Delfosse) Martin. Harold married Patricia Bouche in Casco on September 20, 1951. Harold was in the US Army from May 23, 1951 to May 23, 1952. After his discharge he came back to the Algoma area and worked at the Algoma Hardwoods for 42 years. Harold enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and playing cards. Harold is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia, two daughters Peggy (Dean) Meister, Algoma; Lori (Jerry) Kirchman, New Franken; four grandchildren Abby and Sylvia Kirchman, New Franken; Brittany Meister, Green Bay; and Spencer Meister, Algoma; four sisters-in-law Angela (Howard) Renard, Arlene Jeanquart, Viola Bouche and Gladys Bouche; one brother-in-law Emil Jandrin; and special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters-in-law June Jandrin, Ruth (Earl) Lukes and Margaret (Raphael) Kaye, two brothers-in-law Harvey Bouche and Leonard Bouche. Family and friends may call at the SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma, from 4 - 8 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2011 and continuing on Saturday from 9 am - 10:15 am. There will be a Rosary said at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Deacon Mark Hibbs. There will be a funeral procession to St. Peter's Catholic Church, Lincoln for the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Rev. Lee Kahrs and Deacon Paul Zenefski officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. The family wants to thank Dr. Mark Kroll and Bornemann Nursing Home for all the care and kindness given to Harold.
