Glen James Solchenberger, 67, Algoma, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, December 15, 2023, at Door County Medical Center. He was born December 22, 1955, in Kewaunee to the late David James Solchenberger and Roseanne (Hocks) Jochmann.
Glen started his working career as a mechanic for Gordon Schneider's Junk Yard, then work a few years at Bay Ship Builders in Sturgeon Bay. After Bay Ship he worked for Mid-West Wiring and his final job was at Wald Wire in Manitowoc.
Glen married Debra Mallmann in Chilton, WI on June 17, 1977.
Glen enjoyed hunting and fishing, riding his motorcycle and driving around in his 1969 Road Runner car.
He is survived by his wife, Debra, one daughter Heather Solchenberger and granddaughter Irene Rose and another on the way; his siblings John (LuAnn) Hocks; David (Becka) Solchenberger; Richard (Willow) Solchenberger; Cindy (Thomas) Leicht; and Bruce (Diane) Solchenberger; father-in-law Raymond Mallmann; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Mary Jane, mother-in-law Irene Mallmann and brother-in-law Raymond Mallmann.
Visitation for Glen will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023, from 4:30 to 7:30 PM at the Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma. Service at 7:30 PM with Fr. Andrew Kurz officiating.
