Gerald "Jerry" Neinas Obituary

Gerald "Jerry" Ervin Neinas, 84, Algoma, passed away, Monday, May 27, 2024, at his home.

He was born September 18, 1939, in Sturgeon Bay to the late Ervin and Evelyn (Mickelson) Neinas. Jerry graduated from Algoma High School in 1957.  He worked with his father Erv as a carpenter building and remodeling homes, including the family home near stoney creek.  

Jerry married Beverly Ann Hafeman, November 30, 1963, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Algoma. 

Jerry continued being a self-employed carpenter most of his life. 

Jerry was also a lifelong avid Green Bay Packer's fan, Atlanta/Milwaukee Brave/Brewers fan.  He was a long-time member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and served on the Board of Trustees.

Jerry is survived by his wife Beverly, two daughters, Tammy (Perry) Kroening, Sturgeon Bay and Peggy (Brad) Zenko, Fond du Lac; grandchildren Brittany Neinas, Algoma, Kiefer (Colleen) Zenko, Wauwatosa, Kelsey Zenko, Springdale, AR., and Keegan Kroening, Bloomsburg, PA.; great grandson Dillon Neinas; sister Jane (Lowell) Pavlik; brothers-in-law Wayne Hafeman and Barry Hafeman; sisters-in-law Mary Jo Hafeman and Linda Teske.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ervin (Evelyn) Neinas, in-laws Harold (Helen) Hafeman, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Dennis Hafeman, Mark Hafeman, Pricilla Hafeman and Jane Hafeman.

A visitation for Jerry will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Algoma, from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM with Rev. Joel McKenney and Rev. John Moll officiating.  Burial in the church cemetery with full Military Rites.

There will be a luncheon at the church after the burial.

The family wants to give a special thank you to the staff at Unity Hospice and Bellin Health for all the care and kindness given to Jerry.
