Gerald LeGreve Obituary

Gerald 'Gerry' LeGreve, 79, Algoma, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 after a short battle with cancer. He was born July 23, 1936 in the Town of Lincoln to Bernard and Bernice (Schultz) LeGreve. Gerry graduated from the Casco High School in 1955. Gerry worked at the US Plywood until he entered the US Army in 1956 and served almost two years in France. After his discharge he came back and again worked at the US Plywood which later became Algoma Hardwoods. He worked there for about 42 years and never missed a day of work all those years. He retired at the age of 62. Gerry married Ingra Peters August 8, 1959 in Algoma and she preceded him in death on March 27, 1964.Gerry loved to spend time with his family and his beloved friend Louise. They did many trips together, including going to Branson on a bus trip. He loved spending time in his flower garden, fishing and all of his family outing. He was an Avid Packer Fan and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Algoma.Gerry is survived by his daughter Linda (Sam) Kinjerski, Casco; two grandchildren Carissa Kinjerski and Phil Kinjerski; one great grandson Torin Pappas; his beloved friend Louise Kintopf, Algoma; two sisters Geraldine Brandt, Algoma; Janice (Dick) Jorgensen, Casco; one brother Bernie (Marge) LeGreve, Green Bay; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Ingra. Family and friends may call at the SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma, from 4 - 8 p.m., Monday October 12, 2015 and after 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Algoma, until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ron Colombo and Deacon Chuck Agnew officiating. Prayer service 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
