Gary Brian Rose, 66, Manitowoc, WI, passed away on November19, 2023, at Fieldcrest Manor. He was born November 3, 1957, in Morrisville, PA. After spending his early years in PA, the family moved to CA, Granada Hills, then Simi Valley.
The family then moved to Wauwatosa, WI, where Gary graduated from Wauwautosa West High School in 1976.
Gary then enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served from 1977 - 1981, 30 of those months in Germany. He returned to Wisconsin after his years of service and began working for Purolator Courier, then D.H.L., and finally FedEx.
On September 17, 1983, he married Cynthia M. Jencen, at St. Joan of Arc Church in Okauchee, WI. The couple lived in the Milwaukee area until November 1990 when they moved to Kewaunee, WI and eventually opened their home as the Chelsea Rose Bed and Breakfast.
Gary loved to mow his lawn, do yard work and just putter around his garage.
Gary is survived by his brother Robert (Shirley)Rose of Pemberton, N.J., sister Julie (Barry) Rose Shusterman of Phoenix, AZ, nephews Shawn Martin and Robert Rose, niece Amy Rose and families.
Gary is preceded in death by his mother Gail (Howe) Peters, Stepfather Paul C. Peters, his loving grandparents, great aunts and uncles whom he fondly remembered spending summers with them in Vermont.
Family and friends may gather at the Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma, on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mark Kinney officiating. Burial in the Riverview Cemetery, Kewaunee, with full military honors
The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Fieldcrest Manor for all the love, care and friendship shown to Gary over the past few years.
