Gary Richard Hucek

Gary R. Hucek, 61, Luxemburg, formerly of Algoma, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born July 6, 1954 in Algoma to Richard and Marie (Jacobson) Hucek. For many years, Gary participated in a program at East Shore Industries, Inc. in Algoma. In 2004, Gary became a resident at Rockledge Adult Family Home in Luxemburg. Gary's family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Rockledge for providing tender, loving care to Gary for more than ten years. Gary was an avid fan of Gunsmoke, loved to sing and go for car rides.Gary is survived by his two sisters Mary (Tom) VandeLogt, Rochester, NY; and Karen (Darren) Reschke, DePere; two nephews Chris VandeLogt and Garrett Reschke and one niece Madeline Reschke. Gary was preceded in death by his parents.Friends may call at the SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma from 1 pm Saturday, Jan 2, 2016 until the time of services at 2 pm with Rev. Cheryl Weaver officiating. Burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, Algoma.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Autism Speaks at ATTN Web Gift, Autism Speaks, 1060 State Road, 2nd Floor, Princeton, NJ 08540 or a charity of your choice.
