Obituary

Gary Harmann, 61, Algoma, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at Bellin Memorial Hospital in Green Bay.

Gary was born to Glenn and Dorothy Harmann on July 12, 1960 in Algoma. Gary attended St. Paul's Lutheran School and graduated from Algoma High School in 1978. After the death of his father, Gary took on many responsibilities at home on the farm. He became partners with his mother running a successful dairy farm.

Gary's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren who lovingly called him Papa. He was proud of the family farm which received Wisconsin's Sesquicentennial Farm Award in 2019. The farm has been  in the family for 154 continuous years and will continue on with the 6th and 7th generations with his sons and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Denise and his two children, Eric (Rachel) Harmann, Algoma and Craig (Lyndsay) Harmann, Algoma; four grandchildren, McCoy and Keaton Harmann; Harvey and Sloane Harmann with a fifth grandchild arriving in January. His mother, Dorothy Ash, Algoma; his siblings, Karen (Chris) VanLanen, De Pere, nephews, Matthew (McKenzie), De Pere, Alex, Algoma; twin sister, Geraldine (Farrell) Lewis, Appleton; his mother-in-law, Barb Malzahn, Fish Creek; his sister-in-laws, Diane Vandermuse, Marshfield; Debbie MacDonald, Valmy; Kris (Scott) Schuetze; and nephew, Alec, Green Bay.
