Elizabeth Hannah Senski, (Betty)Our dear Lord embraced our beloved mother during the hour of God's greatest sacrifice on Good Friday, April l8, 2014.Elizabeth Hannah Senski (nee Forshaw), peacefully passed while surrounded by family at the Algoma Long Term Care Unit. She was born on June 27, 1926 in Newton-le-Willows, England to parents Mary Jane and Samuel Forshaw. Betty often recounted her memories of growing up in the beautiful English countryside. Her children recall her vivid recollections of being a teenager during W.W.II: the buzzing of approaching planes, air raid sirens, whistling of dropping bombs, and the sounds of bombs exploding while waiting in air raid shelters. After the war, Betty became a pharmacist's assistant which inspired her passion for natural healing. At the age of 22, she met Fabian Stanley Senski while he was stationed in England with the USAF. They dated, fell in love, and were married on June 28th,1950 in Newton-le-Willows. In January,1952, they crossed the Atlantic Ocean with their firstborn son and continued their military lives in the USA. After many bases and six more babies, military life included being stationed in: Fort Dodge, Iowa; Lockbourne AFB, Ohio; Anderson AFB Guam; and Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota. In 1968, the family returned to her husband's home state of Wisconsin and raised their family of seven children in Cudahy, WI, where they resided for over 35 years. Whenever moving to a new location, Betty always made her church community her first priority. Whether it was through joining the church choir and sharing her beautiful soprano voice, or being involved with community service through the Rosary Society; she did so with a joyful and giving heart. She made herself available to her friends and neighbors. Her door was always open to lend a compassionate ear along with a cup of English tea. She dedicated her life to raising her children and helping others. For years at Christmas, she was 'Mrs. Claus' at the Cudahy Public Library. In the year 2000, Betty and her husband made their new home in Kewaunee, WI. She found great joy in her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her roses, her garden, and always had a natural remedy for any ailment. Our sweet Betty will always be remembered for her angelic singing and her beautiful English accent. She was a gentle, loving soul and she will be missed by all that knew her.Betty is survived by her seven children Paul (Sandra) Senski, Menasha; Gregory (Leslie) Senski, Woodruff; Dennis Senski, Milwaukee; Barbara (Kenneth) Baer, Pinehurst, NC; Vincent Senski (Susan Alexander), Duluth, MN; Elaine (Gordon) Bong, Oak Creek; Catharine (Luke) Joski, Kewaunee; 15 grandchildren Lea (Thom) Winter, Jennifer (Cody) James, Christopher Senski, Christina Senski, Carmen Senski, Timothy Senski, Katherine (Philip) Jones, Stephanie Baer, Emory Alexander-Senski, Skye Alexander-Senski, Travis, Logan and Garrett Bong, Isabelle and Josephine Joski; Great grandchildren Catie, Daelen and baby Jones; one brother John Forshaw, England, sister Jean Faulkner, England, two half sisters Kathleen Tatham and Anne Passmore, both of England, and one brother-in-law Chester Senski.
