Doris Catherine Soukup

Doris (Schmelzle) Soukup, 95, of Algoma, entered Eternal Life on Feb. 22. She was the beloved wife of Stanton Soukup, a loving Mother & Auntie to her family. She was devoted to her Catholic faith, her husband, family, friends, and country. Doris's was born July 24, 1918 to Frank and Dorie (Schlise) Schmelzle. their children were Doris and Lloyd Schmelzle. Lloyd Schmelzle married Helen (Zettel) Schmelzle and their child was Fran. Doris and Stanton had two sons Stanton Jr. & Frank.Survivors include her niece, Fran (Schmelzle) & Jim Birschbach, Menomonee Falls; and their children Michael Birschbach, Sun Prairie, and Jason & Nicole (Domel) Birschbach, Menomonee Falls; and their children Colin & Lucas Birschbach.Survivors on the Soukup side 2 nephews: Steve (Lisa) Soukup and their childern (Kyle & Kaitlyn) of Green Bay; Scott Soukup of Green Bay; one niece Sonja (Steve) Ulatowski, Milwaukee. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in-law Lloyd (Helen) Schmelzle, brothers-in-law Leo and Wallace Soukup, nephew Daniel Soukup and one niece Samantha Soukup.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Saint Mary's Church in Algoma. Friends may call on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be March 3, 2014 at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd, Nicolet Memorial Gardens, 2770 Bay Settlement Road, Green Bay. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Saint Mary's Church, Algoma or a charity of your choice.
