Obituary
Donald C. Strand, 82, Algoma, passed away Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022, at his home with his family at his side. He was born September 8, 1940, in Chicago, IL., to Richard and Mildred (Hammerstrom) Strand.
Life was an exciting adventure for Don, never a bore. His wife and partner of over 61 years, Lynne, shared his love of motorcycles, sailing, camping and RV traveling. His work was fun in the computer industry. He traveled to most of the large cities in the United States.
Don is survived by his wife, Lynne, daughter Merikay (Dan) Vandermause, and son Brian Strand; three grandchildren Dennis (Shannon) Klapperich, Ethan (Rachel) Vandermause and Breanna Vandermause (fiancé Montana Grosbeier); two great grandchildren Frankie Klapperich and Myles Vandermause.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Richard Strand.
Donald's wishes were not to have a public service. The family will have a private gathering for Donald at a later date.
The Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma, was entrusted with the arrangements for Donald and his family.
