Dean Michael Michaletz, 69, Rio Creek, passed away May 15, 2015, peacefully with his family at his side at Golden Living, Sturgeon Bay. He was born June 12, 1945 in Door County to Edward and Geneva (Peterson) Michaletz.Dean married Virginia Brennecke on May 15, 1965 in Antigo, WI. Dean was a truck driver and also worked for Bay Ship Builders most of his working life. The couple lived in Rio Creek until Dean's health had him reside at Golden Living in Sturgeon Bay.Dean enjoyed taking his grandchildren on rides on his lawnmower, talking cars, wood working, going fishing for perch with his family, playing cards, scratching lottery tickets and shooting the bull with friends.Dean is survived by his wife of 50 years Virginia, five children, Bridget (Ben) Kinjerski, Algoma; Denise Michaletz, Algoma; Doug Michaletz (Tammy Lischka), Sturgeon Bay; Angela (Bob) Meyer, Algoma; and Jennifer (Frank) Berger, Algoma; 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, his five siblings, Charlotte Hodges, Gwendolyn (Jim) Marsh, Michael Michaletz, Greg Michaletz, Rodney Michaletz; one sister-in-law Carolyn Michaletz and extended family Doug Zunker and Rick Lyons. Dean was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Wayne Michaletz.The family would like to thank all the great staff and nurses who took great care of Dean until he joined our heavenly Father.There will be a Celebration of Dean's life on Sat.
