Dean Anthony Meister

Dean A. Meister, 54, Algoma, passed away of an apparent heart attack, Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Bellin Hosptial. He was born February 20, 1962 in Algoma to Gilbert and Ruth (Rankin) Meister. In his early years Dean was a paperboy. While attending high school Dean worked at Denny's Super Valu and after graduating from Algoma High School he worked at short time at Cape Townsend and after that he was at the Algoma Hardwoods for over 30 years.Dean was a man who would put everyone first in his life especially his children. He loved to coach them in any sports they were involved in. He loved being outdoors hunting and fishing and truly loved the freedom he felt riding his Harley. Dean was an animal lover including his dogs and cats. Dean married Peggy Martin in 1982 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Lincoln.Dean is survived by his son Spencer and daughter Brittany, the mother of his children Peggy, his parents Gilbert and Ruth Meister, his brother Al (Wendy) Meister, one nephew Alex and one niece Ashley(Eric) Huss, and his great niece Jordan. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Charlie (Lucy) Rankin and paternal grandparents Hank (Elizabeth) Meister.Family and friends may call at the SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma, from 4 PM, Sunday May 1, 2016 until the Prayer service at 8 PM. Visitation will continue Monday May 2 from 9:30 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Lincoln with Rev.
