Dean Ross Eggert

Dean R. Eggert, 63, Algoma, died unexpectedly Monday April 7, 2014 at home. He was born August 6, 1950 in Algoma to Clarence and Leona (Ross) Eggert. Dean graduated from the Algoma High School in 1968. He attended two years of DK Teachers College in Algoma. While at DK he met his future bride, Sally Jolicoeur. They were married on October 30, 1971 in Green Bay. the couple was blessed with two children, Deanna and Ross. Dean met many interesting people while employed at the Algoma Pharmacy. He went on to sell insurance at Weber before working 20 plus years at WS Packaging in Algoma.Dean was a 20 year veteran on the Army Reserve and was called to active duty during Desert Storm.He enjoyed being a part of the Algoma Optimist Club for many years and helped on the 'chain gang' for Algoma football games. He was an avid Algoma Wolves fan and most recently enjoyed traveling to all of the girls basketball games. Dean's biggest joy was spending time with his wife of 40 plus years, his children and grandchildren.Dean is survived by his daughter Deanna (Bryan) Schauer, New Franken; his son Ross (Shannon) Eggert, Algoma; four grandchildren Lauren and Sophia Schauer and Ethan and Landen Eggert; two brothers Gary Eggert, Houston, TX and Pastor Dale Eggert (special friend Nancy), Manawa; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Sally; his parents; his in-laws, Lawrence and Madalyn Jolicoeur and his sister-in-law Patsy Eggert.Family and friends may call at the Algoma United Methodist Church, 804 Parker Ave. from 9 am, Friday, April 11, 2014 until the time of services at 11 am with Rev Annie Tricker officiating.Family and friends may sign the online guest book at www.schinderle.com
