Darlene Bertha (Eggert) Rhoades

Darlene B. Rhoades, 81, Sturgeon Bay, passed away September 28, 2023, at Door County Hospital.  She was born March 17, 1942, in Algoma to Henry and Florence (Krueger) Eggert.
Darlene was a graduate of Sevastopol High School in Door County.
Darlene's passion was being a beautician, but she ended up as a factory worker at a number of different places, with her last place at Plumbers Woodwork in Algoma for about 16 years.  
She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and her flower gardens.
Darlene is survived by her three children Melody A. Rhoades, Terry (Beaker) Rhoades and Kory (Dawn) Rhoades; eight grandchildren Heather M. Swagel, Lacey Ullmer, Brianna Tomes Tyler Tomes, Harley Rhoades, Zach Rhoades, Jeff Mattzinger and Ashlynn Schaitel; eight great grandchildren; two sisters Cheryl Smith and Janis (Joe) Haen; nieces and nephews and other relatives.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Pete, two sons Scott and Wayne, one grandson Dan, one sister Cindy and one brother Dennis.
Family and friends may call at St. John's Lutheran Church, Saturday, October 7th, from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 12:00 PM with Rev Dr. Christopher Jackson officiating.   Private family burial at a later date.
