Darlene Catherine Petry Dykstra, 82, Algoma, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021 at the Kewaunee Healthcare Center. She was born June 11, 1939 in Algoma to Joseph and Ethel (Michaletz) Brauer. She married Norman Petry on June 11, 1960 in Algoma and he preceded her in death December 17, 2008. Darlene then married Ira Dystra on Jan. 6, 2010 and he preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 2015. Most of Darlene's working career was as a cook for the Kewaunee Healthcare Center, Dairy Dan's and then Dairy Dean's. She is survived by her four children Mary (Marvin) Kickbusch Sr., Algoma; Lori Petry, Green Bay; John Petry, Milwaukee; and Mark Petry, Greenleaf; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; one brother Dennis (Karen) Brauer. she was further preceded in death by her parents, grandson Marvin Kickbusch Jr., and one brother David Brauer. Family and friends may gather at the SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma, on Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 1:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 3:00 PM with Gloria Butler officiating. Burial in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Algoma.
