Coleman Shaw Obituary

Coleman A. Shaw, 66, Algoma, passed away Friday, October 25, 2013 at the Kewaunee Care Center. He was born February 5, 1947 in Algoma to Melvin and Dorothy (Cornelius) Shaw. Coleman graduated from the Algoma High School and entered the US Army on June 20, 1966 and served over in Korea during the Vietnam era. Coleman was honorably discharged on March 30, 1968. Coleman returned to Algoma were he lived in the home house. He worked at Bay Shipbuilders for many years, before working at Kewaunee Fabrication until he was diagnosed with narcolepsy and had to retired. Coleman loved to tinker on items where he would take them apart to fix and sometimes he couldn't get them back together. He enjoyed deer hunting. listening to music, playing cards with his group of friends in Algoma and his collection of 1959 Pontiac's. Coleman was a member of the Algoma Hunting and Fishing Club which became his 2nd home. He is survived by his sister Colleen Tess (special friend John Karlovit), Kewaunee; three nieces Charidy (Eric) Anderson, Kewaunee; Lori Kinjerski, Manitowoc; and Jodi Tess, Kewaunee; three nephews Kane Gorsuch, Kewaunee; Rodney Tess, Green Bay and Austin Strandell, Brussels; Aunt Shirley Downs, TX; Uncle Bo (Vernal) Shaw, Algoma; many great nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Jackie and Vicki and brother Kelly. Friends may call at the SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma from 10 AM Saturday, November 2, 2013 until the time of services at 2 PM with Rev. Gloria Butler officiating.
