Charles "Chuck" Paplham, 66, Algoma, passed away November 24, 2025, at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born September 7, 1959, in Algoma to Alvin and Jeanita (Dachelet) Paplham.
Chuck married Kathy Theys January 27, 1979
Chuck enjoyed fishing and hunting, telling stories and jokes, playing cards and going up north to cook for the guys.
Anyone who knew Chuck knew he was a huge Chicago Bears and Atlanta Braves fan.
He enjoyed playing fantasy baseball and football with his son-in-law Jason.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy, two daughters Nicki (Jason) Haegele and their children Leyton and Arianna and Jen Lukes and her children Noah (special friend Mady) and Amya; siblings Bill Paplham, Barb Klingbile, Larry (Bonnie) Paplham, and Jon (Barb) Paplham; Sister-in-law Louise Paplham-Pionke; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Randy (Karen) Theys.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bob Paplham, sister-in-law Carol Paplham, brother-in-law Bill Klingbile and his in-laws Clem and Mary Ann Theys.
There will be a memorial gathering and a Celebration of Life for Chuck on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Schinderle Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM.
The family wants to thank the staff at Bellin Interventional Radiology and Unity Hospice for all their care and compassion to Chuck and his family.
