Carol Matzke Obituary

Carol L. Matzke, 87, Algoma, formerly of Forestville died Thurs. April 7, 2016 at the Algoma Long Term Care Unit. She was born Dec. 1, 1928 in the Town of Forestville to Ernest and Della (Fischer) Hasenjager. Carol graduated from the Algoma High School and then attended the Door Kewaunee County Normal School.Carol married Norman Matzke on Oct. 18, 1947 at Kolberg Emanuel Lutheran Church. While raising their two children Carol worked with Norman for many years on all of his adventures. Carol was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Algoma, and was an avid reader.She is survived by her two children, Vicki Massart, Oshkosh; and Kevin (Jo) Matzke, Forestville; two grandchildren Jodi (Robert) Diener, Oshkosh; and Daniel (Kylie) Massart, Sobieski; three great grandchildren Christopher, Jason and Luca; one sister-in-law Florence Matzke, Janesville; many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Norman, and brother-in-law Milton Matzke.Family and friends may call at the SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma, on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 1 p.m. until the time of services at 3 p.m. with Rev.
