Carmine Patrick Fornarotto, 82, Algoma and Florida, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Ministry Door County Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born March 17, 1930 in Hoboken, New Jersey to Joseph and Josephine (DiSalvo) Fornarotto. Carmine started playing the trumpet at the age of 10 and continued his musical career by getting his Master's Degree in Music Education. He started playing professionally in Radio City Music Hall, Bernstein's 'Candide', City Center Ballet and Opera Orchestras, Goldman Band in Central Park and finished with 30 years in the New York Philharmonic. He also taught music privately and in college. Carmine enjoyed flying and target shooting. Carmine married Marie Krust in New York City on August 29, 1954. He is survived by his wife Marie, one son John (Kate) Fornarotto and their children Michael, Rachael and Nicholas; one daughter-in-law Heidi Fornarotto and son Joseph. Carmine was preceded in death by his parents and one son Joseph.
