Bowman "Bo" Shaw

Bowman 'Bo' Shaw, 92, Algoma, died peacefully Friday April 8, 2016 at Bishop's Court in Green Bay. He was born Jan. 6, 1924 in the Town of Ahnapee to Coleman and Sophie (Dahms) Shaw. Bo graduated from the Algoma High School. He entered the US Army and served overseas. After his discharge he worked at a few different places before working at Kewaunee Engineering from 1953 to 1985. Bo was a 25 year club for Kewaunee Engineering. Bo also helped out his brother Frank painting cars for a short time.Bo married Vernal Prokash May 22, 1954 in Kewaunee.He was a member of the Woodside Sportsman Club for many years. Bo enjoyed hunting and fishing on Lake Michigan. He is survived by his wife Vernal, four nephews Bill (Mary Kay) Shaw, Steven (Judy) Shaw, Michael (Debbie) Shaw and Gary Shaw; three nieces Susan Verdier, Cindy Liebau and Colleen Tess; three sisters-in-law Judy Halverson, Vonnie (Ken) Kollross and Lori Prokash; many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Frank, Melvin, Homan and Zebina; one sister Anita Shaw, two brothers-in-law Dick Halverson and Wally Prokash.Friends may call at the SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma, Tuesday, April 12, from 10 AM until the time of services at 12 PM with Pastoral Minister Kathy Zeman officiating.
