Bernice Rodrian Obituary

Bernice M. Rodrian, 88, Algoma, died Friday, August 26, 2011 at Bay Road Place. She was born Dec. 9, 1922 in Rio Creek to Sylvester and Mary (Junio) Herlache. Bernice attended Liberty Grade School and worked several jobs, before marrying Emil Rodrian in Lincoln on Sept. 14, 1940. After their marriage they took over the family farm and ran it their whole married life, until they retired. Bernice was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Rankin and the Ladies Aid. She is survived by three children, Judy (LeRoy) Stahl, Reedsville; Dennis (Janice) Rodrian, Algoma; and Diane (Rudy) Pavlat, Algoma; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; five sisters-in-law Ruth Herlache, Casco; Helen Herlache, Oshkosh; Ruth Rodrian, Algoma; Edna Hanson, Sturgeon Bay; and Agnes (Nick) Salentine, Luxemburg; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Emil, one granddaughter, five brothers and one sister. Family and friends may gather at St. John's Lutheran Church in Rankin from 11 am, Monday, August 29, 2011 until the time of services at 1 p.m. with Rev. John Neugebauer officiating. Burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, Algoma. The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to all the staff at Algoma Long Term Care Unit and Bay Road Place for all the wonderful care and kindness given to their mom while she was a resident.
