Barbara Jaegers Obituary

The Death of a Good WomanBarbara Ella Jaegers, Algoma, passed away peacefully at her home, Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016. She was born in Milwaukee on July 6, 1941 to Robert and June (Jensen) Beay. Barbara graduated from Wauwautosa High School and although she had little formal education beyond high school, she believed that education should never stop. She read The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal daily and was one of the Public Library's best customers.Barbara married George Jaegers in Milwaukee on Nov. 27, 1961. She was an excellent wife homemaker, mother, and grandmother. They bought their first home in Brookfield. Barbara always stood with George in all of his endeavors. They moved to the Chicago area in 1974 and lived there until retiring to Algoma in 1994. They ran the River Hills Motel in Algoma for five years before building Bay Road Place (assisted living) which they owned andoperated for 14 years. Barbara was on the Algoma Library Board for a short time after they moved to Algoma. Barbara is survived by her husband George, son Peter (Lisa) Jaegers, Los Alamos, NM, daughter Rebecca, two grandsons Alexander and Ian Jaegers, three sisters Marion Anema, TX; Judith Beay, CA; and Susan Holland, NV. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Wayne Beay, one sister Penny and a brother-in-law Charles Anema.George will always remember her as a wonderful woman who was there as his wife and his rock. Her friends will remember her as the smartest woman in the room whose wry sense of humor always brought smiles to their faces. Barbara was always thoughtful and kind; no one ever had a better friend. Most importantly, she was a virtuous woman who was held in highest regard by all who knew her. She will be forever missed by those she touched.A Celebration of Barbara's life will be held at a later time. The SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma, assisted the family with arrangements.Send your online condolences to www.schinderle.com
