Arlene Krueger Obituary

Arlene E. Krueger, 84, Kewaunee passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2012, at the Kewaunee Care Center after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in the Township of Lincoln on April 29, 1927, to Arthur Herison and Amelia (Willman) Herison. Arlene was a graduate of the Casco High School in 1943. Arlene worked at Plumbers Woodwork Company (Olsonite Corp.) in Algoma. She married Harvey Krueger May 11, 1946, in Algoma and continued working at Plumbers Woodwork. In the mid 1950's the couple moved to Norman, Wisconsin and owned and operated a tavern for about 2 years. They then moved back to Algoma and Arlene returned to work at Plumbers Woodwork until she retired in 1993. Harvey preceded Arlene in death on January 17, 1996. Arlene enjoyed spending time with her partner of many years, David Trousil, her flower garden, watching and feeding her birds, baking, card playing and, in her earlier years, dancing. Arlene is survived by her son Donald (Karen) Krueger and daughter Kerry Krueger and Roland Tordeuer all of Green Bay. Three grandchildren, Todd Krueger, Shelly (Mike) Anderson and Killian Hill all of Algoma. Three great-grandchildren, Mia, Ashlyn and Kara Anderson. One sister Lorraine Srnka, long time partner David Trousil and numerous neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Walter Herison, and four sisters, Mary Theis, Leona Theis, Elsie Hedquist and Elfrieda Neinas. Friends may gather at the Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma on Saturday, February 18, 2012, from noon until the time of services at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Tom Moldenhauer officiating. A very special thank you from the Krueger family to Unity Hospice and Kewaunee Care Center for the comfort and care that was extended to our mother and grandmother.
