Andrew (Andy) Blaha, 68, of Pound, WI., died Thursday, March 15, 2012 at a nursing home in Green Bay. He was born December 31, 1943 in Algoma to Edward and Mary (Paradise) Blaha. Andy graduated from the Algoma High School and served in the US Army from 1965 to 1967. He served states side in the Military Police and stood guard next to President Kennedy's Tomb at Arlington National Cemetery. After his discharge from the Amy, Andy moved to Rockford, IL., and drove truck for Briggs Co. for 15 years. When the company folded Andy moved to Crivitz. He married Dianna Richter in Algoma on Feb. 4, 1983. They lived in Crivitz for 17 years and have been living in Pound with their grandson Joshua for the last 12 years. While living in Pound Andy enjoyed his hunting and fishing. Andy is survived by his wife, Dianna, one grandson, Joshua, his sister Mary Jo (Maynard) Blahnik, Kewaunee; two step-sons Robert Thomas, Missouri; and John Giessinge, Omaha; one niece Melanie Blahnik and one nephew Jesse Blahnik. He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant brother Mark. Family and friends may call at the SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma from 1:30 - 4:30 pm Tuesday March 20, 2012 and then at St. Mary Catholic Church at 5 pm for the Mass of Christian Burial with Rev.
