Peggy LoDell (née Anderegg) Seiler

After being cancer-free for more than ten years, Peggy, age 69, was recently diagnosed with an extremely aggressive form of metastatic lung cancer and passed away on the afternoon of July 29, 2022.

Peggy Seiler—the second of three siblings—was born in Algoma, Wisconsin, on February 6, 1953, to Harold and Ione (née Rohr) Anderegg.

Peggy grew up in Algoma,  and moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin,  shortly after graduating high school, where she lived until the latter half of her life when she joined her sister Wanda, also known as her “partner in crime,” in Massachusetts. While living in MA, she lived together with her son and worked at Natick Appliance, where she developed many close friends whom she always considered family. Peggy had a great work ethic and would often drive right back to work after having one of her many chemo treatments. She always found a way to have fun, and while working on Saturdays (on quiet days), she would sneak her small trampoline in. “I can’t sit there all day; I need to keep myself entertained,” she’d exclaim. Peggy had a special bond with her son Jon, and they cherished spending time together, whether that be embarking on a road trip back home to Wisconsin, playing cards, or simply relaxing and watching a movie together.

Peggy loved her family with all her heart and thankfully was able to spend her last month with her mother Ione, her nephew Jeffrey Tarnoff and his husband Greg, her niece Alycia (née Tarnoff) Clutterbuck and her husband Ryan, along with their children, Kendall, Morgan, London, and Carter. She loved her great-nieces and -nephew, and considered them to be her grandchildren, which of course meant spoiling them at every opportunity. Each holiday she would send care packages filled with stickers, headbands to match the holiday, etc., and always made sure each child had something special of their own to open.

Peggy adored animals and spoiled her kitty Chloe to the fullest. She loved to “snuggle her up,” especially on cold winter nights. She loved plants and gardening and had an infallible green thumb. She had quite the plant collection in her home and took great pride in caring for them.

Peggy had an infectious smile that would instantly light up a room and always kept her family laughing. She had a fun and energetic personality and even cracked some jokes with her favorite nurses during her last stay at the hospital. Her typical response to being asked if there was anything she needed was, “Can you find me a man?” Peggy will be greatly missed, and her family knows that she is now smiling down from heaven holding hands with her son Jon, sister Wanda, brother Bradley, and father Harold. Peggy was fond of saying, “I love you with my heart; I love you with my liver. If I had you in my mouth, I’d spit you in the river.” We love you, Peggy, with our collective hearts and livers and—unlike the saying—would never spit you in the river. Rest in peace, Peggy.
